After the event scene with Viola. Speak to her again. This will update the A Letter to Tomorrow quest. Time Travel back to 'A New Mission' node and speak to Cedric just below the pub area, if you select not to show him the Journal, it will lead to an alternative ending. Show him the Journal to complete the quest. You will get Noah Amulet as your reward.
Now before you return back to the main story. The Mana Sighting ability lets you see hidden items, and Alistel has a list of hidden items you can find.
Most of the hidden items can be found in the castle, use the map above as a reference. You can also use Mana Sighting to find hidden chests in previously explored areas like Lazvil Hills.

Lazvil Hills
Time Travel to 'The Closed Mines' node and immediately leave to explore Lazvil Hills. There will be a list of new treasures you can find. With your new sword cutting abilities, you should able to cut through the vines to get some of the chests you weren't able to access before. Also, make sure you rescue the soldier that is trapped in Cave 2 (Marked on the map). This will complete the 'Accident in the Cave' quest. By completing this quest, you will get the Right-Cut Scroll, bringing this scroll to the soldier in the Training Room of Alistel will complete the Marco the Calm side quest.
If you go to the area with the steel boxes, near the save point, you will see a giant boar. Fighting this boar and defeating it will give you a Savory Boar Meat. This is used to complete The Ultimate Dish side quest. However, this boss is super strong at this point in the game, I would suggest you come back and finish it later unless you are really high level or playing at a lower difficulty level.
The boar will always have the first strike against your party. It starts using stampede which will cause severe damage to your party. The boar will then use Kial Charge to prepare for another stampede. The way of defeating this boss is to use Fire Magic and along with magic boost to do massive damage to the boss. You will need to kill it before it can act again. It is highly recommended you have a full stock of Mana Burst ready so that you can delete the boar's turn.
To return to the main story, time travel to the 'Alistel's Offensive node'. Skip all the events and leave the Sand Fortress to Gran Plains (North exit of the 3rd Floor).
Gran Plain
You will need to rendezvous with Rosch's squad to the west side of Gran Plain. Since you have already visit this location from the other timeline, you should already have collected all the treasures in this area. As soon you move to the west area, you will end up fighting a group of Granorg Soldiers. These Granorg Soldiers are strong as you regular enemy encounter. After defeating them, continue moving west, when you see a save point, save your game. Continue a bit further for an event scene. Stocke is forced into another dilemma.
- Look for Rosch = Proceed main story.
- Go north = Alternative Ending
As you select 'Look for Rosch', it will automatically put you into a boss battle.
At the start of this battle you will notice the Wooden Shields placed in the front. These Shields will automatically raise all enemies defensive stat on a horizontal line. Using Fire Magic can instantly destroy the shields. Once you have taken out the shields, focus on killing the rest of the enemies.
After the event scene, Time Travel to the 'Alistel's Offensive node'. Speak to Viola. Now return to Gran Plain and repeat the exact the same thing as before. Select *Look for Rosch. The event will be slightly altered from the previous encounter. However, Stocke is forced to make another decision. Select 'I'll leave it to you'.
As you return to Alistel, there will be some new side quest you can pick up. Head to the first floor and speak to the receptionist to unlock the Swordsman Recruit and Mercenary Recruit side quest. Now search Hugo's Office on the 3rd floor. A boss fight will ensue.
This will be a 1 vs 1 fight with Heiss . The attack that works the best against him is Power Wave. The problem is since you only have Stocke in your party, there is no way of buffing your attack power unless you carry some items. Heiss also has an ability called Blood Pain which can deal massive damage and restore his HP. The easiest way of winning this battle is to use an item called Might Herb to boost your strength, and switch the turn orders with Heiss that you can hit him with three consecutive Power Waves.
After this battle, Stocke will master the Vanish ability. By holding the R button, you can avoid being detected by enemies and also avoid enemy encounters, but using ability will slowly drain your MP. This ability will also let you proceed the story in Standard History: Chapter 2.
To proceed with the story, head to the infirmary. But doing so will trigger a battle for later, so be prepared.
This is a very straightforward battle, however it can be difficult using by just Stocke himself. The soldiers don't really hit hard, but they will cast Power Zone, and will try to move to the marked title to get bonus buff to deal massive damage on you. Make sure you knock them away from the tile. If the enemy cast Regenerate, switch to the target that doesn't have the buff. Once you manage to kill one of them, the rest of the battle should be easy.
After the event scene the chapter will conclude and you will return to Historia. Select continue to move Alternative History: Chapter 3 or time travel to 'How to Disappear' if you want to finish the reset of Standard History: Chapter 2
